Developed in collaboration with Dr. Alfonso Borragán, the Dweller Model uses neural networks that are trained with climate change datasets to produce realtime predictions. By using the microphone behind a distinct blue velvet curtain, situated inside a contact speaker system, the responses of The Dweller turn the surrounding metal gate structure into a room-size speaker. The whisper-like responses come from the unpredictable behaviors which emerge occasionally when training language models (similar like chatgpt) with climate prediction data: during this process the language model began to identify as a moth-like insect species. The result is best described as a breathy planetary seduction or ASMR walkthrough of climate apocalypse from a moth-perspective. With grim, intimate urgency, Myyri invites us to confront a post-human perspective beyond our semantic boundaries.
